I’m Acha Patandjila, a South African–born storyteller, photojournalist, and social justice advocate of Congolese origin. Now based in Canada, my work blends creativity and advocacy through film, photography, writing, and community projects. I’m passionate about exploring themes of identity, migration, and mental health, often grounding my work in the resilience of people and places. As co-founder of Mental Health Unmasked, I continue to facilitate vital conversations on wellness while also pursuing artistic projects that merge authenticity with social impact. Alongside this, I’m proud to work with Kaldor Lens and Motion as an editor, where I get to support a team that shares my commitment to capturing meaningful stories.

With a background in psychology, I’ve always been drawn to understanding people and their stories, which is part of what makes editing so meaningful to me. I love shaping moments into lasting memories through detail, flow, and creativity. Outside of work, I cherish time with my beautiful family, who inspire me every day. I’m also grateful for the chance to work alongside my brother at Kaldor, bringing our shared vision to life.

My name is Deborah Fonseca, and I am a media studies professional with a background in film, music, branding, and marketing. I have worked alongside nonprofits across Alberta, focusing on advocacy through creative means such as photography, fashion shows, documentaries, and more. My passion for community and the arts is reflected in most of my work, and I plan to continue representing that through my work with Kaldor Lens and Motion.
